Connected Educators – Website for forming or joining online teacher-professional communities. Sponsored by a group of education organizations along with the U.S. Dept. of Education.
Hope Street Group – Organization for involving more voices in policy decisions. One focus is on education. While their advocacy on teacher evaluation is fairly specific, they stress involvement of teachers in planning & implementation.
NBC teacher leaders – Stories from School offers posts on a wide variety of issues for teachers.
Viva Project – Not ready to speak out on your own? The Viva Project conducts teacher online idea-sharing on specific issues. Large numbers of individual teachers’ thoughts are combined into an overall report that is presented to public officials. Example: the Viva principal evaluation report in Minnesota.
