Do teachers hesitate speaking up ? NBC’s Education Nation does include some teacher voices — watch this video clip to see them. You don’t see them whining, either — but professionally explaining some of the realities of their work.

And here’s the teachers town hall that took place Sept. 24th. More focused on teacher evaluation and standardized tests, and no practicing classroom teacher was on the stage, but still plenty of teacher voices.

But go to the list of speakers at the Education Nation Summit taking place now, in Sept. 2012, and you’ll see that among the top ten not one is a classroom teacher.

So now YOU must find the right forum to speak up and let the public know the vital things you are doing for our children, in your classroom.
