If you’re following the posts on this site, you know we’re campaigning for a publicity blitz by teachers to promote public education. Here’s a letter to the Hechinger Report that no doubt wasn’t written in response to our urging, but argues very thoughtfully for finding common ground on education, as essential for improving our schools — so we’re counting it in our tally.

Finally, once again we urge teachers: write about a powerful moment in their work, and tell as well about what’s needed to support it. We’d like to see these pieces, of course, but more important, send yours to your local paper, or to a widely-read online publication, by Fri., Nov. 16!
