Memphis Publicizes Teachers and Empowers Them

Here’s a teacher, just into his second year, telling the Huffington Post how Memphis publicizes teachers and their achievements, involves them in decision-making, and is developing more meaningful career ladders for them. Not only a good list of strategies, but a teacher telling the world about them.

Note: This writer is headed off to the conventions of the National Council of Teachers of English and the National Writing Project, so there will be no further posts until Monday, 11/19, unless I’m really bored (unlikely).

But meanwhile, write about your teaching, send your writing out to the world in some form, and tell us about it in a comment on this website. And do it by Friday, Nov. 16.
